People, costumes and props.

During the first and last sections of our production, only the group of friends will be shown, this will be:
  • Me
  • Gina
  • Poppie
  • Elle
  • James
  • Bradley
  • Jamie
The party will include more people, it will be the people above and around 15 more, this will give off the effect its more busy and realistic

The people at the party will just be in casual clothes. If people are too dressed up, or too dressed down it won't have the same effect. For example, the boys wearing jeans, shirts, t-shirts and jackets, and the girls wearing dresses, or leggins and a top. In the morning people will be wearing the same clothes, giving off the impression they stayed in the clothes, which will also be realistic. I would like to create the effect of a real party which would appeal to viewers, if costumes are wrong this would not be realistic enough and the video wouldn't look right.

The scale of props being used is huge. With the party being in a home, and being in a kitchen and a dining room, household products will be in place. Although we are moving the things out of the dining room so essentially we just have an empty room, the kitchen will still be fully equipped. With everyday domestic items being in sight. Props will also include peoples clothes and bags (depending on where there left), bottles of drink, glasses, cups, party snacks, decorations, speakers, fish bowl and a deck of cards.

Risk Assesment

1. Moving around the furniture could be a risk, we could drop and break the furniture or hurt ourselves.

2. Bottles and glasses will be at the party so we will need to make sure none of its smashed or broken, so stop people maybe getting cut etc.

3. The cameras will be in high positions in the Kitchen and Dining room, where the party will be. We need to make sure these cameras stay safe and don't get broken.

4. With us being inside for the majority of the production weather is not an issue. The only thing we will need to ensure is that we are more careful when driving because of the wet slippery roads.

The six sections of our video

1. This section will show me getting the house ready for the party. Furtiture will be moved around and things will be put around the rooms. Shots, angles and movements used:
  • close-ups - on people, the house and bits of furniture
  • long shots - tables being moved around
  • high and low angles
  • panning and tilt

2. This part of the production will be all of the people getting ready for the party and driving to the venue.
  • long shots - to show everyone getting ready
  • close-ups - group doing shots, toasts
  • tilt and panning
  • high angles
3 and 4. these two sections are about the house party. Cameras will be situated in the top corners of the two rooms, looking down like CCTV
  • long shots - to show the whole room, and all the party
  • high angles
  • still shots.
5. This section will be a POV (point of view) show of us walking around the house, seeing the mess, everyone sleeping. This section is aimed to be comical, with people sleeping in weird places, fully clothed, and the house being a really big mess.
  • medium shot the whole way through - showing everything
  • POV shot - as if there seeing everything from my eyes
  • high and low angles - depending on me moving around
6. The end of our video will symbolise our friendship where we are all together. This will conclude our video and represent what the whole video was about
  • long shots - the whole group, sitting around
  • close ups - saying goodbye to everyone
  • low angles

Storyboard

This is our storyboard so far, we have a strong story line and we think it could work. We have a strong structure to our plot. All that needs to be added onto our story board is pictures, which we can do later

Filming

Today I will be starting to plan the filming stages of our production. For the past week I have been working on story boards and drafting ideas. Before filming I will also need to draft a list of:
  • shots being used
  • locations
  • people in it
  • costumes
  • and props included.
